Social Response seeks to expand the work of personal awareness – in which a person learns to be attentive to the spirit that seeks to express itself through him – into civic awareness.
Just as in the work of personal awareness we seek to direct our spiritual potential so that it will influence and express itself in our personal lives, so too it is natural for us to seek the presence of the spirit in our public lives as well.
Our assumption is that in public life too, the presence of the spirit is a fundamental key in directing society toward order, health, and harmony.
What, then, will the presence of the spirit look like at the social level?
If in the work of personal awareness a person learns to be attentive to the spirit that seeks to express itself through him - at the public level the state learns to be attentive to the spirit that seeks to express itself through every citizen it serves. An attempt to bring order, health, and harmony to social life while overlooking this spirit is likened to a person's attempt to manage his life while overlooking his spiritual potential.
And just as a conscious person "clears the space" for the spirit to express itself through him, so too can the state, within the framework of Social Response, "clear the space" for the spirit to express itself from below - through the public of citizens it serves.
Therefore, Social Response is based on two necessary conditions: one, which speaks of state institutions that allow everything that comes from below to grow freely, and focuses on regulation; and the second, which emphasizes how important it is to civically support the forces that cultivate the spiritual-developmental potential of man.
Who are these forces? Everyone will answer this question for themselves and support what they answered in the way they find best.
